Alienware M17x R3 Review

Download Windows 7 x64 Drivers, Softwares or Firmware for Dell Alienware M17x R4 from list below. If you find same driver name, the latest drivers are in top order.

Hey everyone, so I'm kind of new to Alienware systems, and I happened to get one second hand off a friend of mine for a good price because he upgraded, now I was reading the instructions here from Trip6lead and it sounds very straight forward, but how can I tell exactly which display drivers and network drivers I need? Would opening it up help with anything? I don't actually know what wireless network card I have. I do have a switchable graphic key that I can press though, FN+F7 but when I press it it tells me the key press was detected, and when I click yes to switch it just go's away and appears to do nothing so yeah, assuming I might have the wrong drivers or something, or possibly the graphic card was swapped out for something more powerful, device manager says I have AMD Radeon 6900M series. Sorry for the long story but I pretty much just want to know which exact drivers I will need to reformat this thing properly. Hi NexemisX,I have m17xR3 with the AMD Radeon 6990M. If you goto the dell website, there will be an area for drivers and software.

Under drivers it will ask you to punch in the service tag, should be about 6 or 7 characters listed on the bottom of the laptop.Once you punch that in, it will give you all the possible drivers. I personally have the Killer N-Wireless wireless adapter. In my experiences regarding your FN+F7 function, it works for a couple months after a reformat but then it stops working for me. I don't even use the integrated graphics mode because I use it as a desktop for most of the time. Just wanted a laptop so I could easily goto LAN Parties and if I needed it for school. You should be able to find all the current drivers and what not through the dell website with the instructions I've given. I have saved ALL the drivers to my back-up external hard drive to make reformatting very simple. I also extended the file name so I knew which driver it was, instead of just seeing the R34381904 numbers not knowing what it is exactly. Also, I've tried to install many different 6990M drivers through ATI Radeon directly, it usually does not work for me. Everytime I try to improve my system with updated drivers and what not (not from the Dell website), I seem to result in spending an extreme amount of time fixing a problem that happens after installing.
